How To Be A Part of A New Day?
We appreciate your interest in becoming a volunteer for A New Day Rehabilitation & Counseling Services. There are many ways to make a difference in the lives of our youth. Please review the volunteer opportunities that are available here at A New Day and follow up with our volunteer coordinator to discuss your opportunity to join our team!
Grant Writer
Research and write grant proposals. The grant writer must have superior writing and grammar skills, as well as the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Also important are an attention to detail and the ability to understand financial and budget matters.
Administrative Assistant
Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, by preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
Volunteer Coordinator
Plan, organize, coordinate, and attend events in the community and recruit, interview, and train volunteers
Education Coordinator
Teach and instruct vocational training subjects, with a focus on improving grades for higher education and career exploration.
Volunteer Submission Guidelines
There are several requirements that you must adhere to before joining A New Day as a volunteer. Keep in mind that we service middle and high school student.
You must:
- Love children
- Willingly submit to a background check
- Willingly commit for at least 4 months
- Be flexible
- Available at least 2 hours after school
- Be screened by A New Day Staff and Board Members
- Attend Volunteer Orientation
